MUSEUMS

Alderwood Manor Heritage Association

NEEDS: We could use a storage container to store sale items for our annual "Attic Sale". This container could be a 40 foot surplus unit from the Port Authority.

Bainbridge Island Historical Society
Museum preserves and interprets local history through exhibits and programs Lorraine Scott, Curator, 206-842-2773.
NEEDS: Acid-free storage materials e.g. boxes, tissue, folders, photo sleeves to preserve/store historic artifacts and images; new carpet, gift cards to Staples or Office Depot, cleaning service, book printing service (for out-of-print history books).

Eastside Heritage Center
Collection of 30k artifacts & photos, research services, exhibits, programs Heather Trescases, 425-450-1049.
NEEDS: 400GB USB external hard drive, 2 LED Flashlights, 3 floor lamps, 2 space heaters, Digital Image Projector, 10x10 easy-up tent (with weights), metal or plastic adjustable shelving, folding card & banquet tables, portable PA/mic system.

Enumclaw Plateau Historical Society
free museum open to public, preserves artifacts important to local history. Ron Tyler, 360-825-2294.
NEEDS: lighted display cases, archival and computer supplies, gift cards.

Hydroplane and Raceboat museum
Dedicated to preserving this regions boat racing heritage David Williams, 206-764-9453.
NEEDS: Hand held power tools, 16' x 20' movie screen, digital camera, photo scanner, gift cards to hardware stores.

Kids Discovery Museum
Provides educational programs and exhibits for families. Mary Alice Cohen, 206-855-4650.
NEEDS: any art supplies (paper, glue sticks, pipe cleaners, collage materials, clay, paint...), 10' and 15' ladder, copy paper, office supplies, adding machine, brochure display rack, first aid kit, batteries.

Northwest Seaport
NW Seaport operates the historic vessels Arthur Foss, Swiftsure, and Wawona Wayne Palsson, 206-412-4736.
NEEDS: Shop vacuums; gloss white/green, alkyd paint; painting supplies; portable fans; extension chords; 24’ extension ladder; battery chargers; Trash and sump pumps; oil absorbent pads; Rechargeable tools; track lighting; saleable maritime and craft items.

Seattle Museum of The Mysteries

The Center for Wooden Boats

NEEDS: Foulweather gear for kids 8-16 -- rain jackets and bibs (overalls), VHF radios, a couple digital cameras.
