Rowing, women's eight
Nelson, 28, is a Lakeside School/Princeton graduate. She finished seventh in pairs rowing at the 1999 FISA World Championships and won a silver medal in the eight at the 1998 FISA World Championships. She also won the pair at the 1999 Pacific Rim International Regatta on the Olympic course in Australia, and won the four and the eight at the 2000 nationals. She took three consecutive collegiate titles while at Princeton, where she earned a degree in religion. She works for the large- and mid-cap portfolio team at Nicholas Applegate Capital Management in San Diego. She and her older brother, Ty Bennion, were members of the 1994 national team.
