Trap shooting
A bronze medalist at the 1996 Atlanta Games, Bade, 29, is a medal favorite in Sydney, and might represent one of this state's best medal hopes. Bade, who trains in Colorado Springs, hasn't exactly been getting rusty since Atlanta: He matched a world record by shooting a perfect match (125 targets) at the 1998 World Shooting Championships in Barcelona. He won a gold in double trap and a silver in trapshooting at the 1999 Pan American Games. Bade, a member of the U.S. shooting team for eight years, has competed in more than 10 World Cup competitions and has been a member of two World Championship teams and two World Shotgun Championship teams. He placed second and third in the trap and double-trap competition at the Olympic trials.
