Rowing, women's eight

Maloney, 26, is a Rainier Beach High School and UW grad who trains at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif. She began rowing with Mount Baker Rowing Club in 1992. She is a four-time national team member, won the gold medal in the eight at the 1999 Pacific Rim International Regatta on the Olympic Course in Australia, won the four with coxswain and the eight at the 2000 U.S. National Championships and won three national titles at the 1999 U.S. National Championships.
