Judo

This will be Bacher's third straight Olympics. She attended Dunlap and Wing Luke Grade Schools, South Shore Middle School, Franklin High School and the University of Washington. Bacher, 32, transferred to San Jose State as a junior and graduated in 1994. She now lives in San Jose. She is ranked No. 1 in the U.S. in her weight level (middleweight, or 70 kilograms/154 pounds) in both judo and freestyle wrestling.
