Acquired: From Cincinnati, with Bobby Ayala, for Erik Hanson and Bret Boone, on Nov. 3, 1993.

Personal: Lives in Seattle with wife, Annie, and their daughters Sofia and Josephine and sons Elijah and Abraham. Member of Barrington, Ill., team that finished third in 1981 Little League World Series. His team lost to Tampa, Fla., a team featuring Gary Sheffield.

2005 outlook: Wilson will back up Miguel Olivo, catching a game or two a week. This will be Wilson's 12th season with the Mariners. He hit .251 last season, with just two home runs in 319 at-bats.
