Freddy Garcia Out pitch: Two-seam fastball Throws as high as 98 mph, comfortably 92-94. Throws a two-seam fastball and a four-seam fastball, curveball, changeup and a slider he added last year that has come around so fast it's an out pitch for him. He throws mostly two-seam fastballs (sinker), using it to backdoor right-handed batters, bending in to catch the outer edge. He'll also throw sinkers on the inside half and let it break in on (right-handed) hitters' hands. He uses a three-finger change, a pitch he brought with him from Houston and has never had a need to change it. Comments by pitching coach Bryan Price.
