From the south

Take I-5 to exit 163, Spokane Street, and turn right at Fourth Avenue South to reach the North Lot (old Kingdome North Lot) or Union Station Garage.

To reach the Safeco Field Garage, take exit 163 to Spokane Street, turn right at Fourth Avenue South, left at Lander and right on to First Avenue South to the ballpark.

Take exit 164B to Fourth Avenue and then right on Royal Brougham to reach the Stadium Exhibition Center Garage.

From the north

·

Take I-5 to James Street, Spokane Street, Forest Street, Dearborn Street, or Airport Way exits to access downtown parking lots.

Take the Dearborn exit westbound to Fourth Avenue to reach the Union Station Garage or the North Lot (old Kingdome North Lot).

·

Follow the Airport Way exit and turn right on Holgate then right on First Avenue South to reach the Safeco Field Garage.

·

Follow exit 164 to Fourth Avenue South exit ramp to reach the Stadium Exhibition Center Garage.

From the east (I-90)

·

To reach the Stadium Exhibition Center Garage follow the freeway to where it terminates at Fourth Ave. South and turn right. Turn right at Royal Brougham to garage entrance.

To reach the Safeco Field Garage, exit southbound (right) onto Fourth Ave., continue south to Holgate, west to First Ave. and north to Safeco Field Garage.

To reach Union Station Garage or the North Lot, follow the freeway to the end then turn left on Fourth Ave. South.

·

To access downtown parking lots, exit I-90 to I-5 northbound and take the James/Madison St. Exit.

Parking

There are several large, and many small, parking lots and garages within a short walk of the ballpark. Each lot is operated by independent owners and operators who establish their own rates and policies. Generally, lots and garages closer to the ballpark will charge more for parking. Rates vary up to $25. Major, nearby facilities include:

Safeco Field Garage: 2,000 spaces, located on Atlantic Street at First Avenue. Call (206) 346-4001 for information. Disabled parking can be purchased in advance by calling (206) 346-4001. Day of game parking, when available, is $20. Charter bus parking is available by reservation only, call 346-4001.

Stadium Exhibition Center: 2,000 spaces, located on Royal Brougham Way west of Fourth Avenue. Also has charter bus parking on space available basis. For more information visit www.stadium.org/exCenterInformation.

Union Station Garage: 1,200 spaces, Fourth Avenue south of Jackson Street. For more information visit www.seattlepark.com or call (206) 254-0811. Single game parking can also be purchased in advance through www.ticketmaster.com.

Impark Parking: 300 spaces located on South Jackson.

Home Plate Parking: 300 spaces located at First and Atlantic.

There are many parking garages and lots in the central business district to the north of Safeco Field that offer very reasonable evening and weekend parking rates. Garage entrances are located mostly on east-west streets. Free Metro bus service is offered as far south as Jackson Street from these locations. The Mariners discourage fans from parking on streets in the Pioneer Square and International District neighborhoods unless they are also patronizing local merchants there. It is important to read all parking restriction information posted along streets around the ballpark to avoid being ticketed or towed away. Freeways serving the ballpark include I-90, I-5 and SR99. All of these routes pass within 1/2 mile of Safeco Field. Tip: Avoid the heavy traffic congestion around the ballpark by exiting freeways early. Exits nearer to the ballpark become quite congested in the hour prior to a game. After the game, drive south or north from your parking location to get onto the freeways at less congested on-ramps.

When taking a bus to Safeco Field, there's no such thing as a free ride.

If you're starting in the free-ride zone and heading to a game, get off before Jackson and hoof it — the ride remains free and the walk will take 10-15 minutes.

If the bus you want runs through the downtown bus tunnel, the International District stop is your best bet. From there, head west on Jackson and then south on First Ave. — a 10-15 minute walk.

The bus tunnel is open 5 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturdays. It is closed Sundays. After hours, tunnel buses use surface street stops.

Buses that run on First and Fourth Ave. south of Royal Brougham, and buses that use the busway between Fourth and Sixth all stop within a 5-minute walk of the stadium.

Service directly to/from Safeco Field

Special game buses are now designated by the names of the Park & Ride locations they serve. Route numbers have been eliminated. Service is self-supporting and will cost $2.50 each way, except children under five ride for free. Metro bus passes and transfers will not be accepted on this leased service. On Senior Sundays, senior citizens can ride for $1 each way.

Weeknight games: Service will be provided AFTER games only.

Saturday, Sunday and Holiday Games: Pre- and Post-game service will be available on the Mariner bus routes. Pre-game service will start approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes before the game.

NE 45th Freeway Stop; Northgate Park & Ride; Northgate Transit Center - Post-game loading on the east side of Occidental on the south side of the ballpark.

South Kirkland Park & Ride - Post-game loading on east side of First Avenue, south of Atlantic St.

Mercer Island, South Bellevue and Eastgate Park & Rides - Post-game loading on east side of First Avenue, south of Atlantic.

Federal Way Transit Center; Starlake and Kent-Des Moines Park & Rides - Post-game loading on the south side of Royal Brougham on the north side of the ballpark.

Tukwila, Renton and Kent Park & Rides - Post-game loading on the south side of Royal Brougham on the north side of the ballpark.

Central Business District Shuttle - Post-game loading on east side of First Avenue, south of Royal Brougham.

Safeco Field has secured parking for over 150 bicycles in the Safeco Field Garage located on Atlantic Street east of Occidental Avenue. There is no charge for bicycle parking. Additional bicycle racks are available next to the garage on the west plaza. Bicyclists are advised to avoid chaining bicycles to parking meters, trees or other objects that might impede the very heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic around the ballpark.

Amtrak: Amtrak's Coast Starlight and Empire Builder trains arrive at King Street Station, just two blocks North of Safeco Field.
