Stop 4 Palouse Falls State Park, south of Washtucna Take my word on this one - it’s worth the 25-minute drive south from Highway 26. This wins my vote for the second prettiest waterfall in the state, topped only by Snoqualmie Falls. The Palouse River tumbles into a beautiful pool, then continues through a steep canyon. Advisory: Even though you are in the middle of nowhere, this is a state park and the parking fee is $5. The Stop 3 site we recommended in 2002: Dusty Café in Dusty and the Jason Gesser-for-Heisman banner that hung on a grain elevator in Dusty.
