Star Times girls basketball team

Malia O'Neal, Garfield 5-5, Sr., G
Earning her third consecutive spot on the Star Times team, O'Neal runs the show for the top-ranked Bulldogs, averaging 17.7 points, 7.8 assists, 5.1 steals and 4.1 rebounds. Garfield, with O'Neal at point guard, has finished third and second at state, respectively, the past two seasons. After backing off an earlier oral commitment to UNLV, she's weighing options at several Division I schools.

Kirsten Thompson, Monroe 6-6, Sr. C
The repeat Star Times pick was the first girl from the state selected for the McDonald's All-American Game. The Seattle area's tallest female player averaged 14.8 points and 10 rebounds during the season for the Bearcats. She's a physical player who should thrive next season in the physically demanding Pac-10 playing for Arizona State.

Ashley Fenimore, Meadowdale 5-7, Sr. G
The tenacious point guard, the only returning starter off last year's Class 3A state championship team, guided the Mavericks from Lynnwood to another unbeaten regular season and the WesCo South title. Averaged 8.9 points and 6.8 assists while setting the school and league career assists records with 577. The Mavs are 96-5 in her four years as a starter, and 72-0 in WesCo games with four division titles. Fenimore will play next season for Seattle Pacific.

Mackenzie Flynn, Redmond 5-7, Sr., G
Redmond's floor leader averages 14.2 points, 7.0 assists, 3.8 steals and 3.3 rebounds. She's also a deadly outside shooter, with 40 percent accuracy (44 of 109) from three-point range. In three varsity seasons, she led the Mustangs to a 62-11 record that included a KingCo 4A and a KingCo East Division title. Flynn has signed with Idaho.

Jacqua Williams, Rainier Beach 5-8, Sr., G
Earned her second straight Star Times selection by averaging a league-best 22.4 points to go with 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals per game. Despite an ankle injury, she scored 20 or more points seven times, including 41 against Garfield. The two-sport star headed to Georgia Tech is the two-time defending state champion for the 100 and 200 meters and long jump.

Ken Roberts, Snohomish Girls coach
In his fifth season with the Panthers, Roberts has a 106-21 record. His team dropped this season's opener but has not lost since. The Panthers were the only team to beat Monroe, doing it twice. Roberts has won three WesCo North titles and two Northwest District titles.
