Jon Brockman, Snohomish Forward, 6-8, Sr.
Considered one of the top 10 players in the country by virtually every scouting service, Brockman was No. 1 in the annual Best in the West poll. He led Seattle-area scorers with a 30.2 average, including two games of 40 or more and a school-record 51. He also averaged 14 rebounds. The two-time Star Times pick is one of three in the state selected for the McDonald's All-American Game and Jordan Classic. He will play at Washington next season.

Marcus Williams, Roosevelt Forward, 6-7, Sr.
One of the purest scorers around, the two-time Star Times pick caught the eye of Arizona coach Lute Olson with numbers like these: 30.0 points, 11.4 rebounds, 2.7 blocks, 2.6 steals and 2.5 assists. He has scored 30 or more 10 times this season, with a high of 48, and amassed 1,773 career points. Williams was the only player in the state selected for the Roundball Classic in Chicago.

Micah Downs, Juanita Forward, 6-8, Sr.
Versatile wing averages 24.8 points, 12.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.6 steals for the Rebels. He has scored 30 or more six times this season, with a high of 41. Downs, who signed with Kansas, and is one of the three Washington players selected to play in the Jordan Classic and McDonald's All-American Game.

Terrence Williams, Rainier Beach Guard-Forward, 6-6, Sr.
Williams, one of the most athletic players to lace up a pair of basketball shoes in the city, averaged 21.7 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 2 steals, with five triple-doubles this season. Will play for Louisville, and Cardinals coach Rick Pitino has called him "an athletic phenom." Rainier Beach coach Mike Bethea said he was more athletic than former Vikings star Jamal Crawford, now a New York Knick.

Martell Webster, Seattle Prep Guard-Forward, 6-7, Sr.
Bedeviled by injuries as a junior, Webster turned in a superlative senior season, averaging 28.3 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. A shooter with remarkable range, he is considered one of the nation's top high-school players and will play in the McDonald's All-American Game and Jordan Classic. Before committing to play for Washington, was mentioned as a possible NBA draft pick.

Dean Montzingo, Kentwood Boys coach
Despite losing an All-State point guard from last year's Class 4A state championship team, Kentwood tied for first place in the SPSL North Division, is 18-4 and seems poised to make another title run. Montzingo's four-year record is 89-16, including a third-place finish at state in 2002-03.
