Student to Student
Ms. Cox's Class in Birmingham, Ala.
We are also 3rd graders at Inglenook School in Birmingham, Alabama. Birmingham is a big city with parks, museums and friendly people. Our school is not too big-we have about 350 students in all. In our class we have 19 students. We have many interesting things in our classroom: 5 white mice, tadpoles, mealworms, grain beetles, and plants in our grow lab. Right now we are studying plants, but in January we will be learning about Martin Luther King Jr. Some of our activities will include: reading stories, singing songs about him, learning parts of his "I Have a Dream" speech, making T-shirts to celebrate his birthday, creating a big book with interesting facts about Dr. King, visiting Birmingham's new Civil Rights Museum, searching the Internet for information on MLK, and having a parade. We hope you have a happy holiday season. Please write to us soon. Sincerely,
Ms. Cox's 3rd Grade |
