The ruins of Hurva Synagogue

The ruins of Hurva Synagogue in the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem. It was built in 1700, destroyed by Muslims 20 years later, rebuilt as the National Ashkenazic Synagogue in 1856, and blown up by Jordan during fighting in 1948. The arch was restored in 1977.
