What two issues concern you most in the race? Traffic. We want to start a "downtown" and promote a sense of community with projects along the lake and riverfront, and traffic congestion is holding us back from those dreams. Many of our residents are forced to go outside the city for their daily shopping. Our city must better find grants and funds that will allow us to make significant fixes to 522 that are more than just $45 million cosmetic jobs. Our energy, assets and attention should be first set on improving our traffic flow. Family friendly. We are at a crossroads with unlimited potential. We must utilize the assets that we have or can obtain to create an environment rich in parks, trails, plazas and gathering places that are safe and invite community cooperation. We have been told by a federal judge that we must either ban gambling, or allow it totally. By joining the ranks of every Eastside and neighboring city and banning gambling, we will be able to set the stage for the type of city that we want to develop.
