Now that the U.S. Supreme Court has declared blanket primary elections like Washington's violate political parties' constitutional rights, what form of new primary election system would you propose adopting? |
 |
| |
Political parties are not public entities and thus should be allowed to decide for themselves how they wish to find the person they wish to represent them so long as they do so without using public money. |
| |

Would you continue the trend of recent years and support tax cuts for businesses? Which ones specifically? If not, why? |
 |
| |
YES! With lower taxes, you could keep more of what you earn. It would be easier to invest into new businesses, build new homes and fuel stronger economic growth. Everyone would prosper. |
| |
| 4. |
Would you support a Constitutional amendment that would allow tax breaks for homeowners but not for business or commercial property? Why or why not? |
 |
| |
I would support the repeal of the income tax. Whether the state or national Constitution, any amendments should be for protecting the life, liberty and pursuit of happiness of the citizens for which that Constitution was written. I would not support any amendments that would unduly penalize anyone for owning a business, or otherwise try to make life better for themselves and their family. |

| 5. |
What privacy legislation would you support? Would you exempt financial institutions? Why or why not? |
 |
| |
I believe that we deserve total privacy and that there should be serious penalties and damages for anyone, including but not limited to financial institutions, that violate their customers' trust and respect for selling their information. |

A commission studying transportation funding says a new financing mechanism is needed to keep Washington transportation projects on track. How would you propose financing future transportation projects? |
 |
| |
The best way to fix the current problems with Washington's transportation projects is to privatize them with a competitive-bid system open to all contractors. This will not only lower the costs but will improve the projects. |

With some states reconsidering the death penalty, what is your position and what changes, if any, do you think are needed in Washington's law? Under what circumstances would you support a moratorium? |
 |
| |
In serious crimes, as long as the person in question has access to a full appeals process, whether they exercise it or not, then I would reserve the death penalty for them. |

A judge struck down Initiative 695's provision that would have required a public vote for all tax and fee increases. Would you support a Constitutional amendment that would require the public vote? Why or why not? |
 |
| |
I support the public's will. They said this because the politicians are hard of hearing. I would not propose this as I think this is the job of the elected officials. But the public has the right. And obviously the politicians are not honoring their office. |
