Roosevelt swimmer Jill Kripps posted a time of 1:52.42 in the women's 200 yard freestyle at the state meet on Nov. 14. Her time was good enough to earn a second place finish. Kripps, a two-time defending state champion in the 50-yard freestyle, wavered between trying to three-peat in the 50 or race in the 200. She decided to swim the 200. The Seattle Times ran a story on Kripps during the meet titled Decision looks good for Kripps
