Sparkling Lemonade
Makes 1 quart
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice
1/2 cup hot water
About 3 cups chilled sparkling water

1. Put the sugar, lemon juice and hot water into a 1-quart canning jar and stir until the sugar is dissolved.

2. Slowly add the chilled sparkling water, and as soon as the jar is filled put the lid on tight to preserve the bubbles until the jar is opened at a picnic.
