Like many urban school districts, Seattle's public schools have seen dramatic shifts in their racial makeup over the past several decades. Middle-class flight from city schools, changing birth rates among ethnic groups, high housing prices and immigration have contributed to the demographic shifts. These charts show racial changes in three high schools Roosevelt, a North End school, Franklin, a Central school and Rainier Beach, a South End school. Back to story
