These maps show Puget Sound areas vulnerable to landslides and "liquefaction," a process in which loose soils lose their strength and act like liquid.

Some say if more rain had fallen this winter, more landslides would have occurred after Wednesday's quake.

In addition to highways and major electrical, water and fuel lines, the maps show where the ground could rupture along the Seattle fault. Wednesday's quake did not involve the Seattle fault.
