Death-penalty cases
In the past 21 years, King County Prosecuting Attorney Norm Maleng has sought the death penalty in 20 aggravated-murder cases. County Superior Court juries have sentenced five people to death, but their sentences are in stages of appeal. None of those convicted has been executed:
