| Tristan Pelton
Tristan is currently working as the Booking and Promotions Assistant at The Vera Project. He has been involved with the local all-ages music scene for a number of years both as an under-aged music fan aching to go to 21+ shows and now that his 21st has passed as an advocate for all-ages shows in the community. He also volunteers at a number of Vera shows and is undergoing the process of becoming a member. This will be his 5th straight Bumbershoot, and second working as a journalist. He is particularly excited about the large hip-hop acts like Wu-Tang Clan and Lupe Fiasco, and local hip-hop from Sportn’ Life Records, as well as the addition of two new comedy stages, one of which in Vera itself. He is really excited for the first Bumbershoot with Vera at Seattle Center!

| Kate Carosino
Kate is a big supporter of the Vera Project's efforts to create a safe venue for young people to enjoy music and arts entertainment. Kate likes to promote Vera Project shows by relaying how even her eighty year old grandparents love the Vera Project: Earlier this year, her grandparents attended the Vera's Block Star Contest and were especially fond of the winner, PWRFL Power. The fact that Vera can put on shows with acts that simultaneously entertain middle schoolers and octogenarians demonstrates that the Vera Project truly is an all ages venue. |

| Julia Lipscomb
Julia Lipscomb recently relocated herself and her little fanzine to the Seattle area after several years of religiously following every single concert promoted in Spokane. After the big move and the initial months of attempting to process the ever expansive (and somewhat intimidating for first-timers) Seattle music scene, she finally decided to leap into the city, so she landed an internship as the Administrative & Archive Assistant at the Vera Project. Working in the archives at Vera, volunteering at the Zine Archive on Capitol Hill, and continuing her own zine, she has realized the value of archiving artifacts from the music city. Even though she has only been to Bumbershoot once, she thoroughly enjoys bragging to every single person she meets that she made it to the very front row at Garbage two years ago. |

| Keayleen McDaniels
Keayleen is a 22 year old Renton resident. She has been attending shows at Vera for about a year, and has recently become a volunteer. Some of her favorite Vera shows have been Brother Ali, Dyme Def and D. Black. She enjoyed helping out with security by checking bags at one of DJ Bles One's break dance battles (one of the only shows at Vera where every participant and spectator brings his or her backpack). Bumbershoot 2007 will be her third time at Bumbershoot, and she is looking forward to 3 days of music in Seattle. |

Emily Gorman
Emily is a member and frequent volunteer at the Vera project. In past years she has also volunteered for Bumbershoot, in the One Reel offices. Bumbershoot is definitely the highlight of the end of summer. Although, her school starts the week before the festival, Bumbershoot serves as a much needed break from academics. Some kids go to sports events, some dances, and some maybe have an art or martial arts class. Emily, on the other hand, go to shows and festivals, or just about anything to do with music. Vera is her outlet. She has a feeling this year will top her past experiences at Bumbershoot. It will be her third year, and they say the third time’s the charm. We’ll see.
