Mindy Cameron

As editorial page editor, Mindy Cameron is final arbiter of the material that appears on Opinion, Editorial and Op-ed pages. She's been a Northwest journalist for more than 25 years. Other than "the best newspaper job in town," her favorite things include summer and a lakeside spot in North Idaho. She lives in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood. Her column appears on Sunday.

James F. Vesely

Associate Editorial Page Editor James F. Vesely helps select and edit material for the op-ed pages; writes a weekly column focusing on Seattle's Eastside communities; and writes editorials on politics, trade and communications issues. Vesely has worked at newspapers in Chicago and Detroit. He lives on Mercer Island. His column appears on Monday.

Joni Balter

Joni Balter, a veteran Times reporter, has been on the editorial staff nearly four years. She is the lead political writer for the page, covering local, state and national politics. She lives near Seward Park with her husband, an author and journalist, and two school-age children. A good weekend always includes a run along Lake Washington with close friends. Her column appears on Wednesday.

Lance W. Dickie

Lance W. Dickie writes on transportation, natural resource issues, energy, national politics and international affairs. He joined The Times editorial page in 1988. He and his wife live in Kenmore, and have two daughters in college.

Susan Nielsen

Susan Nielsen joined the board in April 1998, covering education, families, health care and politics. A Washington native, she has worked as editorial writer and columnist in Clark County, and editor of a Snohomish County weekly. She lives in busy downtown Seattle and finds peace in a kayak on Lake Union. Her column appears on Thursday.

O. Casey Corr

O. Casey Corr is the son of a former Potlatch Queen and a Seattle police officer. He lives in Laurelhurst with his wife, a school teacher, and their two children. During summer, he spends his time on Lake Washington. An author of two books on Seattle entrepreneurs, he joined the editorial page in 1997 and writes about politics, technology and other topics. His column appears on alternate Wednesdays.

Bruce Ramsey

Veteran Seattle business reporter Bruce Ramsey joined the Seattle Times editorial staff in March 2000. He writes editorials on tax policy, health policy, legal affairs, trade and other business and economic issues. He writes a signed opinion column on alternate Wednesdays.
