Microsoft stock-option activity

Employees have exercised fewer options in recent years as the stock price has fallen. Options give employees the right to buy a stock at a fixed price; their value increases if the stock rises above that fixed price. Most have to be converted to stock, or exercised, within seven to 10 years.
