Kusina Filipina

Reader rating: Rate it now

Serving Beacon Hill neighbors and the local Filipino community, this large and inviting restaurant offers Southeast Asian soul food, including pork stewed in more ways than you imagined possible. The adobo (pork with soy sauce and vinegar) is delicious, as is pinakbet, pork with vegetables in shrimp paste. A single entree over rice is $5; two are $5.50, and the friendly woman behind the counter is happy to explain the ingredients of any of the dishes, which are mostly labeled in Tagalog.
