Red Twig Bakery Cafe
Reader rating: Rate it now
Out of the former Brusseau's emerges the same sort of freshly baked breakfast and lunch items that venerable café was famous for. Flocks of regulars line up for scones, tea breads, sweet and savory crepes, paninis, quiches, soups and salads in a breakfast-and-lunch-all-day format that closes at 6 p.m. Expect thicker-than-usual crepes, higher-than-usual prices, friendlier-than-usual service and the jostling that comes from crowds and awkward table placement. Home-roasted organic coffee, too.
