LA Sparks owner: "We're going to kill them"
Posted by Jayda Evans
Of course Los Angeles Sparks co-owner Kathy Goodman is speaking as a fan, but she believes her team is "going to kill them [Seattle] at Staples Center on Sunday night!" She wrote a blog of her experience watching the team lose to the Storm on Friday.
It's going to be a battle and unfortunately this blog won't be there to cover the blow-by-blow. Or saunter over to Snoop Dogg and ask him a little about the techno-rap jams he's been posting on Twitter.
This is a big test for Seattle. True, they lead the West, but only beating LA by two points at home when the Sparks were without their two major stars gives me pause. And it's not because the players LA has are slouches. It's because that's already an incredible roster. Put just MVP Candace Parker back in and it's the story Seattle was singing all last summer without Lauren Jackson. Seattle meanwhile was fully stocked.
Enjoy the 6:30 p.m. tip and we'll discuss later.
