The Bellevue Farmers Market will celebrate its inaugural Saturday market this week with live music and face painting.
Several farms have reported record sales at Bellevue's first three Thursday Farmers Markets of the season, and organizers are hoping the Saturday market will be equally successful.
The market, which offers farm producers a direct link to consumers, is open from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursdays — and now from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays — in the old Safeway parking lot at 410 Bellevue Way N.E. Free parking is available on site.
The Thursday Market season ends Oct. 15, while the Saturday Market will run until Nov. 21.
