Flights from Seattle to Europe resume
Flights from Seattle to Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Paris depart from Sea-Tac airport.
Seattle Times travel writer
Flights from Seattle to Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Paris departed from Sea-Tac Airport Tuesday as many flights to Europe resumed after nearly a week of cancellations.
British Airway's daily flight to London was canceled along with all the airline's other international flights. The Seattle-London flight is scheduled to resume Wednesday. Air France restarted service to Paris. Delta resumed its daily flight to Amsterdam, and Lufthansa, which resumed service Monday, flew to Frankfurt. Icelandair's flight to Reykjavik was also scheduled for departure.
The status of flights for the rest of this week could change if European airports need to close again because of the Iceland volcano's ash cloud. Passengers with confirmed reservations should check with their airline for last-minute schedule changes or cancellations.
