Zipcar's Seattle fleet adds bike racks and Forest Passes

Car-sharing service now caters to nature lovers.

Carless outdoor junkies, kick up your boot heels. Zipcar, a car-sharing service operating in much of North America, has equipped some of its Seattle fleet with bike racks and Northwest Forest Passes to cater to bikers and hikers.

Eight Subaru Imprezas based in Seattle now come with Thule racks that carry two bicycles. Those cars and 22 more in the fleet come with Northwest Forest Passes, which allow parking at trailheads and recreation sites in national forests in Washington and Oregon. Daily passes usually cost $5, and annual passes $30.
