Reader postcard from Antarctica

A weekly feature of readers' travel photos.

Location: Antarctica

Photographer: Charles Porter, Kirkland

Photographer's description: This photo was taken from a dinghy in Antarctica. We were near Cuverville Island, just north of the Antarctic Circle. The arch is an iceberg eroded by wind and waves. Our cruise ship, the Endeavor, can be seen in the background.

Submit your travel photos from around the world online at seattletimes.com/travelpostcards. If your photo is from the Pacific Northwest, upload it at seattletimes.com/weekendphotos. Selected photos will appear here or in the "Pix From My Weekend" feature in The Seattle Times' NWWeekend section published each Thursday. See Travel Postcard and Pix From My Weekend galleries at seattletimes.com/travel.
