Reader postcard from West Africa
A weekly feature of readers' travel photos.
Location: Upper West region of Ghana near the village of Yikpabongo, West Africa
Photographer: Laurel Spellman Smith, Seattle
Photographer's description: It takes a village to get our van out of a dry riverbed in Northern Ghana.
Women on their miles-long trek from the market back to the village were laughing at us, but eager to help.
