Van Gogh in Auvers

Auvers-sur-Oise is a quick trip from Paris, either by car or train. From the Gare du. Nord train station, take the direct line to Pontoise, then switch to the Persan-Beaumont line. The stop is only a quarter mile from the Auberge Ravoux. Entrance is 5 euros (about $7.25). Monet in Giverny

Giverny is also easily accessible from Paris, and also about an hour away. Admission is 5 euros (about $7.25). By train, go from St. Lazare in Paris to the city of Vernon. "T.V.S." buses ferry tourists to Giverny for 3.5 euros (about $4.85). More information: www.giverny.org.
