Trains, buses and roads. Northwest Through the Lens On a point-and-shoot high
Today's "Northwest Through the Lens" comes from Seattle Times photographer Steve Ringman. He took his point-and-shoot camera (yes, you read that right) with him on an eight-day backpacking trip along the Pacific Crest Trail in Washington's Cascades, with lots and lots of Boy Scouts. He reports that he had a good time and that one of the highlights was ending the trek with pancakes at a Snoqualmie Pass restaurant. As much as we want to agree with him on the latter, we think the highlight is Ringman's work displayed here. This is the second installment in "Northwest Through the Lens," a monthly feature from Seattle Times photographers, who take their equipment on the road (yes, even a point-and-shoot, at times) to bring us their personal take on our part of the country.
