Air Canada flight makes emergency landing at Baltimore airportLINTHICUM, Md.– An Air Canada jet made an unscheduled landing at the Baltimore airport Thursday after an unclaimed package was reported on board. The plane touched down on a remote runway around 4:10 p.m., airport spokesman Jonathan Dean said. Passengers were loaded onto a shuttle bus. Dean said he was not aware of any disturbance aboard the flight from Montreal to Reagan National Airport. Authorities searched the aircraft out of "an abundance of caution," Dean said. Television images showed the plane surrounded by police and fire crews at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.
