Friday, May 14, 2004 - Page updated at 12:00 A.M. If you go to Lacock
Lacock Abbey is open from March through October; admission is about $13 for an adult with discounts for children. At the abbey's visitor/ticket center, there's a small shop plus a display on photography pioneer William Fox Talbot. The National Trust Web site, www.nationaltrust.org.uk, has details on Lacock Abbey, and most guidebooks to Britain also have some information.

Staying in Lacock:
Lacock B&Bs include King John's Hunting Lodge, a small inn with heavy wood beams and whitewashed walls; some rooms date to the 13th century.
