Winter weather advisory in effect for Puget Sound as snow begins to fall
Posted by Seattle Times staff
DEAN RUTZ / THE SEATTLE TIMES
A light dusting of snow falls on the brim of Harle Ross' hat, and the head of her dog Region as they walk around Horizon View Park in Lake Forest Park Sunday morning. Snow was spotty in the metro area Sunday, but sometimes a heavy flurry that refused to stick could be seen.
Metro buses on snow routing
Because of the possibility of snow during the Monday morning commute, King County Metro Transit will start service with buses in all areas on snow routing. Bus riders should check www.kingcounty.gov/metro/snow before traveling on Monday.
Metro said while the accumulations are not expected to be deep, its managers want to be prepared and don't want to change to snow routing during the middle of the busiest travel times.
