The Eric Wedge Celebrity Look-Alike Thread
Posted by Larry Stone

Eric Wedge's mustache seems to be getting almost as much attention as Eric Wedge's message, for some odd reason.
I thought Wedge's message came across loud and clear on Tuesday at his press conference.
So did his mustache, for that matter.
Everyone seems to have an opinion on who the new Mariners manager looks like. Here are some of the names I heard most frequently yesterday:
1, Stacy Keach. I give Brad Adam of FSN credit for being the first to point out the connection, moments after Tuesday's press conference had ended.

2, I, on the other hand, immediately saw Capt. Leland Stottlemeyer (no relation to former Mariners pitching coach Mel Stottlemyre) from my daughter's favorite show, "Monk" (played by Ted Levine).

3, I showed my wife Wedge's picture, and she immediately came up with Bradley Whitford's new look on the show "Good Guys" (which I had never heard of, but that's another story).

4, Next came Jon from our office who chimed in with Nick Offerman (no relation to brief Mariners shortstop Jose Offerman), who plays Ron Swanson on "Parks and Recreation."

5. I even heard a Ron Burgundy, but I just don't see it.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated. In the meantime, enjoy this blast from the past.
