The Brewery
A gathering place for sports analysis and opinion with Seattle Times sports columnist Jerry Brewer.
Back in action, reporting from Nashville
Posted by Jerry Brewer
With NFL training camp and college football practice underway this week, The Brewery will resume at a quicker pace starting tonight.
Sorry for the lack of action, especially last week. I was at a journalism convention in Philadelphia. I've also been developing a plan to use a collection of writers on this site. As I wrote recently, I'm opening up The Brewery and allowing more people to give their viewpoints -- provided they have the writing chops. I have several commitments, and you'll read an offering from at least one new addition this week. I have others that I still need to finalize. And if you love to write, I'm still inviting you to do so. Just email me at jbrewer@seattletimes.com.
I'm in Nashville -- or Seattle South -- right now. I'll be visiting Titans camp the next few days to interview several former Seahawks or Seattle football personalities, including Matt Hasselbeck, Jake Locker, GM Mike Reinfeldt and safety Jordan Babineaux. Because I'm out reporting and the Titans don't practice until later today, I won't offer another post until tonight. Check back here at about 9 p.m.
Starting Tuesday, I will start doing a morning post that tells you what to expect here each day. If news breaks, we can break the schedule and offer some random posts, but for the most part, you'll be reading more thoughtful pieces in The Brewery that are planned well and take more than an hour to develop. So, I want to make sure that you know the plan each day and have an idea of when to visit.
That's it, for now. Type to you tonight.
