Gunshot fired aboard bus in downtown Seattle

A woman was hit by a ricocheting bullet Thursday afternoon after a handgun discharged aboard a Metro bus at Third Avenue and Seneca Street in downtown Seattle.
The victim was not injured, according to the Seattle Fire Department. She was checked at the scene, but declined treatment.
The suspected shooter, a male, was arrested. A handgun was recovered from the male, police said. His female companion was detained.
The shooting occurred around 1 p.m. aboard the Route 125 bus, which runs between South Seattle Community College, White Center and Shorewood.
Seattle police gang unit detectives are also investigating.
