Early morning fire damages garage near Skyway

An early morning fire damaged a garage at a house for sale near Skyway.
Crews from King County Fire District 20 responded to the fire in the 7700 block of South Mission Drive at 3:38 a.m. Thursday morning. A woman who lived in the area had smelled smoke and went to investigate. She saw smoke coming from the garage of the single-story house.
There were no injuries.
Initially, the home was believed to be abandoned. However, investigators determined the house is for sale and is being renovated. A cause for the fire and damage estimate has not been determined.
