Witness chases down burglary suspect

Posted by John de Leon

Police arrested a juvenile burglary suspect Wednesday afternoon after he was chased down by a witness.

Residents of a home in the 2000 block of 29th Avenue South interrupted a burglary in progress at 1:21 p.m. Wednesday. At least one person -- described by police as a witness -- chased the two burglars as they ran from the home. The witness chased the two south on 29th Avenue South, eventually catching one of the burglars at 30th Avenue South and South Hill Street.
