Reward in officer's slaying grows to $105,000

The reward for information that leads to an arrest in the slaying of Seattle Police Officer Timothy Brenton has grown to $105,000, according to Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound.

The Seattle Police Officers' Guild, Crime Stoppers and the Seattle Firefighters Union will hold a news conference today at 2 to announce the updated reward amount and to distribute fliers that firefighters will be handing out urging people with information on the murder to come forward.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the SPD Homicide Tip Line at 206-283-5000. Anonymous tips can be called in to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
