Death of woman in burned mobile home ruled a homicide

The death of a woman whose body was found in an Bremerton-area mobile home that was destroyed by fire Saturday morning has been ruled a homicide, according to the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office.

The Kitsap County coroner said the body is that an adult woman, whose identity has yet to be confirmed. Her body was found Saturday morning in the charred remains of a single-wide home in the Illahee Shores Mobile Home Park, 4330 Illahee Road.

The Kitsap Sun is reporting that country singer Paymela Faye Long, formerly of the ensemble Whatta Band, lived in the mobile home.
