Kent police have identified Mark Anthony McKinney, 22, as the suspect in a fatal shooting last Thursday.
Kent police responded to the report of a shooting in the 10900 block of Southeast 256th Street around 9:43 p.m. Police found a man on the street with a gunshot wound. The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he later died.
The investigation indicates a dispute occurred between the victim and at least two unknown people may have led to the shooting. Detectives are still trying to identify and locate the other two people involved.
A police news release does not indicate why police believe McKinney is responsible for the shooting.
The King County Prosecutor's Office has filed a first-degree murder charge against McKinney. A search warrant was also served on McKinney's Kent home earlier today.
McKinney is believed to be driving a gray 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt, with the Washington license plate 687 TJY. Anyone who sees McKinney of the car is asked to call 911.
