Police said the shooting stemmed from a dispute between the victim and several unknown people.

"Kent Police Detectives are currently following up on information provided by witnesses at the scene." Kent Police Lt. John Pagel said in a news release. "We're hopeful that somebody who witnessed the shooting will be able to identify the suspect."

Police this morning did not release any suspect information.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the Kent Police Department at 253-856-5800.
