SNOHOMISH COUNTY SHERIFF'S SKETCH
Sketch of suspect in this morning's reported attempted abduction.
The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office has released this sketch of a man being sought in connection with a reported attempted abduction in Startup.
A 10-year-old girl said she was waiting at a bus stop near the 14200 block of 367th Ave Southeast this morning when a man ran toward her. She ran to a nearby house as the man followed her. He came at least part way down the driveway before he ran off, according to the Sheriff's Office.
The girl went home and told her father what happened. He went outside and saw a man he didn't recognize get into a faded green pickup and drive off. He said the pickup was possibly a 1970s or 1980s Datsun. The father later called 911.
Deputies searched the area but didn't find the suspect vehicle. It's not known if the man seen getting into the truck is the same man who reportedly chased the girl, the Sheriff's Office said.
The suspect is described as a white man, possibly in his 20s, about 5-feet-9 and bald. He was wearing ripped blue jeans and a dark blue T-shirt.
Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's tip line at 425-388-3845.
