The SPD's Traffic Unit will be on the lookout for motorists and bicyclists who violate crosswalk laws today on Stone Avenue North and Dexter Avenue.

Officers will be pulling motorists at several intersections with marked crosswalks if they fail to yield to pedestrians in the crosswalks. Violators face fines of $124 for cars and $103 for bicycles.

The emphasis patrols will be conducted in the 4100 block of Stone Avenue North and later on Dexter Avenue near Aloha Street (see maps below).
