According to The Bellingham Herald, someone used a bat or a stick to smash mailboxes and car windshields and windows between 2 and 3 a.m. Monday. The damage was done from a moving vehicle, which means there was a driver and at least one passenger, police said.
Damage may run into the thousands, making the crime a felony.
