Boy, 16, dies in two-car crash near Duvall

A 16-year-old boy was killed today in a two-car crash near Duvall.
The accident occurred about 11:15 a.m. in the 29500 block of Northeast Big Rock Road. The 16-year-old was driving a Honda Civic east when he lost control and skidded sideways on the wet road. The Honda was broadsided on the driver's side by a Jeep Cherokee driven by a 20-year-old woman.
The Honda driver was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he died shortly after 1 p.m. The woman was taken to Evergreen Hospital. Medical Center in Kirkland The extent of her injuries were not immediately known, but are not life-threatening, according to the King County Sheriff's Office.
The names of the drivers were not immediately released.
Northeast Big Rock Road was closed in both directions until about 4 p.m.
