Man shot in leg in West Seattle Tuesday night over car sale
Posted by Nick Provenza
Seattle police are searching for a man who allegedly shot a second man late Tuesday in a West Seattle parking lot after a dispute over a car sale.
Police said the incident occurred shortly before 11:30 p.m., when the two men met in a parking lot in the 2600 block of Southwest Barton Street. The suspect, 23, was upset about a car he had purchased from the victim because the victim had not provided him with the car's title.
After a heated argument, police said the suspect "pulled out a handgun and shot the victim in the leg."
The man then got into a silver Honda Accord and drove away, leaving the shooting victim behind.
Medics treated the shooting victim for serious, but not life-threatening injuries and later took him to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
